Grab your employees and come join us for some fun and fitness!  Throughout the year, the Chamber hosts several casual events for the Healthy Business Challenge. These include the Curling Bonspiel, Slo-Pitch Tournament, Annual Golf Tournament, Bowling, donating blood at a Blood Donor Clinic , Sturgeon Valley Athletic Club Fun Run, and the Roy Financial Mayor’s Walk for Charity. These events are a great way to socialize and have fun with your co-workers, as well as network with other local business owners. Businesses can earn points just for participating and even more when they win.  In December the numbers will be tallied up and the winner will be presented with the Healthy Business Award at our Gala Banquet held in January 2012.

St. Albert Outdoor and Indoor Farmers’ Markets
Fresh fruit, fine woodworking, ripe-off-the-vine vegetables, home baked goods, jewelry, hand sewn works and art pieces. These are just some of the great buys found at Western Canada’s largest Outdoor Farmers’ Market. Every Saturday, starting June through to October, downtown St. Albert is transformed into an unique outdoor social and shopping extravaganza where buskers and musicians create a carnival atmosphere. It’s no wonder crowds of 10,000 to 15,000 visit each week. The Farmers’ Market also moves indoors to St. Albert Place starting in mid-November. The 2011 Indoor Christmas Market will run every Saturday from November 26 to December 17th. The 2012 Outdoor Market will take place every Saturday June 16 to October 6.
